Sarva Seva Sangh, Andheri

Sarva Seva Sangh, Andheri was started as a branch of SSS Pune on 5 th Oct 2003. Fr. J Felix was its first director. SSS started its work with street children and at present we have 7 Balwadis running in various slums. Each Balwadi has a teacher with an average of 20 students per Balwadi. SSS pays for teachers; education materials as well as snacks to them. In collaboration with the Holy Spirit Hospital, a mobile van with a doctor, nurses and our staff go to the slums twice in a week and check the patients and medicines are provided.

We also have 20 girl children who are put up in the hostel which is run by Ursuline Sisters. We take care of around 70 HIV affected children. We have regular monthly meetings. We are providing medical, educational and nutritional help for these children.

Community College: We have an SVD community college in a very small scale which is affiliated to the Indian Center for research development for the community education (ICRDCE), Chennai. We run computer classes and plan to expand to other job oriented courses.
