ATMADARSHAN SILVER JUBILEE; HAPPY, HOLY, & HUMAN
With the theme ‘To Be Happy, Holy & Human’ (2bH_3), Atmadarshan, on the occasion of its Silver Jubilee (1998 – 2023), brought out the driving motives underlying their courses, retreats, workshops and the Atmadarshan Lifestyle. The ‘Happy’ in the theme reflects the Atmadarshan vision, ‘Happy Persons, Families and Communities through Psycho-Spiritual Growth.’ The ‘Holy’ reflects the inward journey as depicted in the Atmadarshan logo that puts one in touch with the Divine (image of God) in us. And the ‘Human’ reflects the hospitality, inclusiveness, and openness towards all people, that Atmadarshan promotes through their approach, attitude and lifestyle. The Jubilee Mass was led by Bishop Barthol Barretto, along with Fr. Tomy Thomas, INM Provincial, and a large number of confreres, religious, lay partners and well-wishers. It was an occasion to thank God for the many blessings and graces Atmadarshan has received over the years. Bishop Barthol in his message thanked the Staff and associates of Atmadarshan for the formative and humanitarian services it provides in the archdiocese. As part of the Jubilee celebrations, Atmadarshan also organized a Peace Conference: ‘Peace in our Hearts, Peace in our homes, Peace in our World,’ which was attended by around 200 people. The keynote speaker, Acharya John, and the Panel speakers, Fr, Gregory Pinto SVD; Mr & Mrs. Raul & Mitali D’Souza and Fr. Joseph MT, SVD, all competently and effectively highlighted the challenges and the opportunities for Peace in our hearts, homes and the world. As Atmadarshan steps into another Jubilee phase, it gratefully looks ahead to innovate; and to continue to be the destination of many in Mumbai and elsewhere, to not only move away from the grind of daily life, but more to make time for self, to look within, to gain awareness, to heal what is broken, and to joyfully re-connect with self and others; – and that’s Atmadarshan!
