ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION GYAN ASHRAM, ANDHERI

Gyan Ashram Annual Day was held on 14^th February 2021. The celebration was live on Zoom at 7 pm with a houseful audience. Fr. Ronald D’Silva, the Director of Gyan Ashram welcomed Chief Guest Ms. Wrisha Dutta a renowned playback singer cum actor and the Guest of Honour Fr. Nicolau D’Costa SVD, Principal of St. Theresa’s High School, Bandra. The celebration included different forms of dances like Kathak, Bharatanatyam and Contemporary performed by students of Gyan Ashram Music and Dance Academy. A mix of traditional Hindustani and Bollywood songs alongside instrumental solo performance on electronic keyboard added colour and joy to the occasion. Teachers’ reel was yet another highlight of Gyan Ashram Day celebration. The reel was a recorded video piece of live lessons given by teachers in music and dance and teachers’ own performances. The teachers’ reel recalled the helping hands of the teachers which kept alive the spirit of all the students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Chief Guest, Ms. Wrisha Dutta said that she was delighted at the wonderful performance of all the students and wished Gyan Ashram Music and Dance Academy the very best.  She performed a solo song live on Zoom to the delight of the audience. Guest of Honour, Fr. Nicolau D’Costa appreciated the efforts of all the students and staff at the academy. He wished everyone a bright future post COVID-19 era. Being the compere of the program, Mr. Osmond Pereira, one of the teachers of the academy flawlessly engaged the audience with a sense of humour and professionalism. Fr. Anil T Paul SVD, the HOD of Gyan Ashram Music and Dance Academy thanked all for being part of the Gyan Ashram Annual Day 2021 and making it a memorable one at this difficult time of the pandemic. The celebration concluded with National Anthem.
