BALMELA 2023
Sarva Seva Sangh, Pune organized Balmela 2023, a day of celebration and entertainment for the less privileged children, on 10th December at Divine Word Seminary grounds, Sainikwadi, Pune. The Mela was inaugurated by the ex-corporator Mr Yogesh Mulik along with Fr. Victor Zagayam SVD and Fr. Jesuraj Rayappan SVD by flying a bunch of colourful balloons at 9.45 am. The children, nearly 600 of them gathered from street situations and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Pune city, soon began to enjoy various fun games and rides arranged for them on the ground happily winning prizes and enjoying. In the afternoon during the stage show, children put up lively group dances. One group of children also presented a street play on child rights. Many children won prizes by enthusiastically answering questions raised during the stage program. All the children went back cheerfully with a bag full of gifts. Many friends and well-wishers of Sarva Seva Sangh came in during the Mela to cheer the children and encourage the team. Thanks to various institutions and individuals who joined hands in various ways with the Sarva Seva Sangh team to bring cheer to these less privileged children
