IMPOSSIBLE TO POSSIBLE

St. Arnold Janssen was a man of possibilities. As children of Arnold, the Theresian Staff decided that they would come to school to pay reverence to SVD Founder on 15th January, even though it was difficult because of the pandemic situation. A short prayer service was held in the morning which was also televised live on YouTube to students, parents and others who could watch it and pray along with us from the comfort of their homes. Homage was paid to the Founder through flowers, incense and light in the midst of prayers and hymns. Fr. Ivan gave an inspiring message on the life of St. Arnold Janssen depicting how he overcame challenges. A short interaction was held to demonstrate how when we encourage ourselves saying ‘I’m Possible’, things become easy and possible. The Principal, Fr. Nicolau D’Costa provided a twist to the theme saying, when we remove ‘I’M’ – the first two letters from ‘impossible’, impossible becomes possible thus stressing the importance of giving first place to God, second place to ‘Others’ and keeping the ‘Self’ last on the graph. Theresians were happy that they could gather on this occasion as a family and honour the Founder and get inspired through his life and mission.
